Few phases of modern living are untouched by the heating and air conditioning industry. Skilled specialist are required to design, install, and maintain controlled environments in enclosed areas ranging from homes to space satellites. In class, students have the opportunity to develop skills and work habits by working on projects daily inside and outside the lab. Students work on projects off campus, like the project house, that are coordinated by the instructor. Job shadowing, apprenticeships, and mentoring programs are also offered in conjunction with this program.

Kodey St.Cyr was elected Southwest Regional Treasurer at the SkillsUSA Regional Elections on November 16, 2007.
On January 10,2008 Justin Chambers, a movie star from such films as: Wedding Planner and the TV show Grey's Anatomy, visited Springfield Clark CTC. Justin graduated from this school in 1989, his home school was Southeastern. He dropped by to visit his school and all the groups like: Skills USA, BPA, FCCLA, and etc.. were ther to welcome him.
